This time i am sharing a healthy, nutritious and easy to make no fuss sweet recipe. You can snack on it without any guilt what so ever.We all are aware of the health benefits of dates, oats and almonds. This recipe contains all three of them plus this is sugar free .For all those people cutting down on sugar intake this is just right.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Dates
1/2cup Oats
1/2 cup Almonds
2 tbsp. Ghee
2-3 Pods of Cardamom
METHOD:
1.
First take quick
cooking oats and dry roast it on low heat for 2-3 minutes or till a nice aroma starts
coming.
2.
Cool the oats and
grind it to a powder in a mixer.
3.
Take dates in a
bowl and pour little hot water on it, and allow it to soak for 10-15 minutes
.
4.
When dates are
soft and mushy(say after 15-20 minutes) take them out of water and grind to a paste in a mixer grinder. You can keep this water and add little if required to dates for easy grinding. If you have some water left, you can drink it or use it in anything sweet.
5.
Put almonds in a
grinder and pulse it to a coarse powder.
6.
Peel your
cardamoms and grind the seeds to a powder.
7.
Take a heavy
bottom pan on your gas burner and put in ghee and switch gas knob to low. Add
oats powder and almonds to ghee and keep stirring for approximately 2 minutes. You
will start getting a nice nutty aroma.
8.
Add dates paste
and cardamom powder to it and again keep mixing on a low heat for another 1-2
minutes. The whole mix will start becoming dry
9.
Now cool the mix
to room temperature. When the mix is cool you can start making small balls from
it. Your laddoos are ready now.
10. But for different
look and to some extent flavor you can roll these laddoos in desiccated coconut
powder or crushed pistachios.
